               MSTC SLOT MILL (LAY-DOWN / HALF SIDE)

               Replacement of the Cartridge                                              (1) Insert Hexagon wrench with 3mm width (TH-3L) into the
                                                                                             Wedge Screw. TH-3L
               Follow the instructions below to replace the Cartridge.

                                                       (Hexagon wrench
                                                       with 3mm width)

                                                                                         (2) Loosen the Wedge Screw.
                                                                                         (3) Remove the Wedge Screw and Wedge.

                Cartridge                                                                (4) Remove the Cartridge.

                                                A state that the cam pin is              (5) Before replacing the Cartridge, make sure that the Cam Pin is

                                                A state that the cam pin is              (6) If the Cam Pin is in the position shown in the left diagram,

               Left-hand Thread   Wedge                                                  (7) Place the wedge so that its larger slant surface faces toward
                                                                                             the Cartridge.
               Wedge Screw
                                                                                         (8) Turn the Wedge Screw two times to install the Wedge to the
               Right-hand Thread  TH-3L         Turn 2 rotations to install on the body      body.

               (Hexagon wrench with 3mm width)                                           (9) When installing the Wedge Screw to the body, keep the
                                                                                             Wedge from rotating and screw it in.

                                                                                         (10) Tighten the Wedge Screw by the torque of 5-6N·m.
                                                                                              Keep the Screw head and the Wedge even
                                                                                              (prevent either of those from sticking out).
